What you need to know:

• Filming on municipal land requires municipal approval and proof of General Liability Insurance.
• Filming or photography near or on municipal or District roads will require a Road Occupancy Permit.

• Filming on roads or in public places will require public notice.

From historic icons, to picturesque lakeside scenes, to downtown businesses to rustic cottages, we can help you find the right location for your next film project!  We offer an incredible range of locations for every season, so give us a call at 705-687-3412 to speak with one of our Economic Development team members... tell us what vibe you are going for and we can help you find a perfect location!

Add your property to the Locations Database and Earn Income!

Property owners earn anywhere from $500 to $5,000 per day if their spaces are selected as a filming location.

We are always looking for a range of locations to share with filmmakers, acreage to residential, commercial to waterfront... even the swamp out back could be the next location of choice! 

Add your property profile to the Ontario Creates Location Database or contact the Economic Development Team and we can assist in adding your details and adding images, simply complete the Film Location Registration and Consent Form.

Note an Assignment of Copyright and Release must be completed and submitted with your images to be processed by OMDC.
