Interlibrary Loan Service
The Interlibrary Loan service brings books and other materials from other libraries. If our Library doesn't have the item you are looking for, we are happy to try to order it from another library.
- Items must be at least 6 months old before we are allowed to request them from another library. Some items will not be available at all.
- Currently, we need to limit the number of active requests each person can have at one time. This means that each person can only have 3 items requested, in progress or checked out at one time.
- We use Canada Post to send and receive each item. You may experience some wait times.
- There will be no renewals for any item that we loan for patrons.
- We will be working with other libraries to bring our patrons what they are looking for, but with the understanding that every library has their own rules and procedures. This will increase the time it takes to bring in items for patrons.
Interlibrary Loan Fines and Fees
- Items will be charged a daily fine of $1.00 to a maximum of $10.00.
- Non-Pick-up fee - $3.00 per item
- Replacement barcode card - $5.00
