Seniors
Gravenhurst has many activities to offer our active Senior's Community. The Town owns the Gravenhurst Senior's Centre located at 480 First Street North, Gravenhurst ON P1P 1B9. Membership with the Senior's Activity Centre is available for $35.00 per year. Associate members are those under the age of 50.
The Senior's Centre is open: Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. for activities. Office Hours are Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Gravenhurst Seniors Centre is a very active club with many volunteers leading activities such as:
- Seniors Low Impact Exercises
- Bean Bag Toss & Baseball Toss
- Billiards
- Bingo
- Card games (Euchre, Bid Euchre, Bridge, & Cribbage)
- Carpet Bowling
- Darts
- Mahjong
- Monthly Luncheons
- Rug Hooking
- Shuffleboard
- Social Ballroom Dancing
- Wood Carving
Instruction is available for those who want to try rug hooking, or woodcarving. There is a fully equipped, supervised workshop open Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
The Gravenhurst Horticultural Society meets regularly at the Centre. If you are looking for live music to start your day, the Gravenhurst Bifocals Concert Band fills the auditorium with music as they practice on Tuesday mornings.
