Arena closed due to gas leak – Update 1

A gas leak has been identified at the Graeme Murray Arena and repairs are now underway.

As a result, the arena will remain closed for the balance of the day. 

All ice rentals are cancelled.

Staff anticipate a return to normal operations tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 25. 

The YMCA, located next door, remains open.

There is no threat to YMCA staff, patrons, or the neighbouring area. 

The town will provide its next update at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
