Gravenhurst Autumn Arts Tour just around the corner

The second annual Gravenhurst Autumn Arts Tour is fast approaching.

“This is going to be another wonderful opportunity for people to explore the rich and diverse artistic talent that exists in our community,” Mayor Heidi Lorenz said. “I want to thank the local artists participating in what will be a really special two-day event.”

The Gravenhurst Autumn Arts Tour runs Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The self-guided tour includes more than 40 artists, featuring a variety of beautiful works, including paintings, jewelry, and stained glass.

For example, painter Elena Dinissuk will showcase her Canadian landscapes at the Gravenhurst Train Station on Second Street South. Shelly Eyre of BlueHouse Handknits and Textiles will have her work at 210 First Street South. And Jan Novak of JDN Photography Canada will display his imagery at the Shipyards Muskoka Marketplace at 908 Bay Street.

Authors, sculptors, and potters are also part of the tour.

A full list of participants and details on where they can be found during the tour is available on the town website.
