Gravenhurst reopens some outdoor spaces

The Town of Gravenhurst and its contractors have been hard at work this spring with parks and cemetery clean-up after a very eventful and trying winter.

The ice storm at the end of March 2025 caused significant tree damage to most of our public outdoor spaces.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Town of Gravenhurst closed all parks, cemeteries, and trails until those spaces can be safely assessed, inspected, and necessary maintenance can occur.

We are happy to announce the following locations are open to public use:

Reopened Friday, May 2, 2025

·         Muskoka Bay Park

·         Lookout Park

·         Skate Park at Centennial Centre

·         Kinsman Park

·         Muskoka Beach Park

·         St. James Anglican Cemetery

Please refer to our website for the list of parks, trails, and cemeteries that are remaining closed until assessments and clean-up activities can occur by our team and our contractors.

We want to thank the community for their patience, understanding, and willingness to assist with making Gravenhurst public spaces safe for all.
