New online portal for bylaw complaints

Today the Town of Gravenhurst launched a new online portal on Gravenhurst.ca that people can use to make bylaw infraction complaints.

“Accessible using a mobile phone, tablet, desktop computer or laptop, the portal provides a convenient, reliable, and secure way to submit a bylaw complaint to the town,” said Kristen Ford, manager of bylaw services.

Situated on the Cloudpermit platform, the portal includes easy-to-follow instructions on how to submit a complaint and a mapping feature that people can use to identify the complaint area.

For example, visitors to the portal can choose the appropriate category for their complaint (ie., noise, short-term rental, signs, etc.), provide related information, and then use the map feature to mark the complaint location.

“The town is committed to providing good customer service and professional municipal law enforcement,” Mayor Heidi Lorenz said. “This new portal is a tool that helps us achieve both goals.”
