Snow removal operations update: Feb. 10, 2025

The Town of Gravenhurst will conduct overnight snow removal operations starting this evening.

Snow removal will occur along the following road allowances:

• Intersections on Muskoka Rd. N. (MR18)
• Intersections on Muskoka Rd. S. (MR18)
• Intersections on Bay St. (MR 169)
• Intersections on Brock St. (MR169)
• Royal St.
• Wagner St.
• Lorne St.
• Austin St.
• Pine St.
• Ferguson Rd.
• First St.
• Phillip St.
• Pinedale Rd.

Additionally, in preparation for more snow, the town will be pushing snowbanks back to increase snow storage and widen roadways in the following areas: 

• Winhara Rd.
• Colter Ln.
• Barnes Rd.
• Crawford Ln.
• Jones Rd.
• Forest Glen
• Industrial Dr.
• Progress Rd.
• Blanchard St. W.
• Alexander St.
• Evans Ave.
• Catherine St.
• Palmer Dr.
• Brydons Bay Rd.
• Thain St. W.
• Kingbrook Crt.
• Freeland Dr.
• Oakwood Dr.
• Walton Rd.
• Lofty Pines Cres.
• Lofty Pines Rd.
• Old Muskoka Road.
• Wellington St.
• Cliff Bruce Rd.
• Maple Heights Dr.
• Old Portage Rd.
• McKenzie St.
• Douglas St.
• Tiffany Tr.

Please note work will take place over multiple days, subject to weather conditions and other winter maintenance obligations. 

To assist winter operations and prevent damage to private property, please do not place things such as garbage bins on the road allowance. 

People should use extreme caution when navigating areas where snow removal operations are taking place as there will be trucks and other heavy equipment in use.   

Please note the areas not specifically mentioned in this communication are being addressed as time and resources allow. 

Residents are reminded that overnight parking (12 a.m. to 7 a.m.) is prohibited on local roads from Nov. 1 to April 30. Overnight parking interferes with the town’s snow removal operations.  

Vehicles left on roads overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense.
