Snow removal operations update: Jan. 29, 2025

The Town of Gravenhurst will conduct overnight snow removal operations starting this evening.  

Snow removal will occur in the following parking lots:  

Vehicles left in the parking lots listed above will be towed at the owner’s expense.  

Additionally, in preparation for more snow, the town will be pushing snowbanks back to increase snow storage and widen roadways in the following areas:  

Please note efforts to push snowbanks back will take place over multiple days, subject to weather conditions and other winter maintenance obligations.  

To assist winter operations and prevent damage to private property, please do not place such things as vehicles, snowblowers, lawn equipment, and garbage bins along the road allowance.  

People should use extreme caution when navigating areas where snow removal operations are taking place as there will be trucks and other heavy equipment in use.     

Please note the areas not specifically mentioned in this communication are being addressed as time and resources allow.   

Residents are reminded that overnight parking (12 a.m. to 7 a.m.) is prohibited on local roads from Nov. 1 to April 30. Overnight parking interferes with the town’s snow removal operations.
