Boating, Fishing and Watersports

Gravenhurst's urban core lays between Lake Muskoka and Gull Lake with easy walkable access between the two locations!  In addition to these large lakes, Gravenhurst offers access to many other lakes and rivers, where you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, rowing, boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and so much more!

If you brought your own vessel check out the list of launches and public docks in and around Gravenhurst.  If you don't have your own water "toy" visit our business directory for a list of locations where you can rent a boat, personal watercraft, canoe, kayak or other cool toys for the day.

Municipal Boat Launches

Launches are normally a paved and maintained location to launch your boat.  Long term docking and swimming may not be permitted at these locations.  Parking may be located off site or a short distance from the launch.  Currently, the Town of Gravenhurst does not charge launching fees.  Please enjoy the water responsibly.

Public Docks

These public docks are locations where you can moor your boat temporarily.  There may be swimming or fishing permitted at these locations. Docks are all use at your own risk and on site signage will provide prohibited and permitted activity information.

Lake Access Points

These access points are simply that, a rural location where you can get to the water.  These locations are use at your own risk and may or may not be maintained beyond a walking path.

A full listing of launches, docks and access points can be found in our Parks and Facilities Directory.
