Public Art Advisory Committee

The Public Art Advisory Committee is a Subcommittee of Council responsible in assisting the Town of Gravenhurst administrating the Public Art Strategy and Policy.

  • Assist in the creation, administration and review of the Public Art Strategy;
  • Review and approve application requests for public art, referencing the Town’s Public Art Policy in its deliberation;
  • Work with Town Staff to ensure appropriate coordination of placing approved public art;
  • Advise Council and Staff on the implementation and maintenance of the Town’s Public Art Inventory, including accessioning and de-accessioning of public art.

The Terms of Reference outlines the purpose and structure of the Subcommittee.

The Terms are jointly developed and approved by Council, and can change as the nature of the work of Council evolves.
