Dan Brown Image

Dan was born and raised in Mississauga & fell in love with the area after moving to Muskoka 5 years ago. He has been wood working for the past 15 years, but after experiencing wood turning, was hooked. Dan primarily makes wood bowls but is always experimenting with new ideas and techniques, including making bowls out of resin with natural items, burls, hardwoods, exotic woods and other various turned items. He is self taught and is always looking to improve his craft.

Colour, texture and the wonder of nature's bounty influence Pat's various creations. Unique shawls are rendered from unraveled sweaters, sari silk, ribbons and project leftovers. 'What nots' are fabricated using sticks, rocks, feathers, hemp and discarded treasures to nudge curiosity and wonder.

The Gravenhurst Autumn Arts Tour is a two-day event in Gravenhurst featuring local artists as well as from across Muskoka 

Event dates: September 28 & 29, 2024, 10am to 4pm

Where: In town Gravenhurst locations such as the Muskoka Wharf, Gravenhurst Opera House & other participating locations throughout historic downtown with the option for Gravenhurst artists to host at their studios.

Who: Open to all artists in Muskoka; artists in Gravenhurst artists may host at their studios
